Setting up maintenance base for Jet Airways to maintain their 737 classics for all their minor and major maintenance
Setting up 500 hours inspection checks. Deploying and training personals to maintain and comply as per regulatory requirements
Withdrawal of maintenance program for Jet Airways aircraft due to government regulations mandating scheduled operators to invest in their own engineering
CMRO Organisation approval is being processed with DGCA
• After the DGCA approval, AW has plans to obtain GCAA,FAA and EASA approvals
In future, wide variety of commercial aircraft certified to DGCA, FAA, and EASA standards supported
• Business plans are for catering to airframe heavy maintenance of narrow and wide body airplanes including ATR.
•Building service capabilities for:- Avionics, Instruments, Electrical, Non Destructive Testing (NDT), Batteries, Wheels & Brakes and Hydraulics
• Air Works is in negotiations with International Third Party MRO providers for technical collaboration

Engine Care Solutions to be Provided Under Engine MRO in future
Current capability includes engine QEC dressing undressing and boroscopic inspection.
Full engine overhaul capability and module replacements in future to provide "total engine care" solutions to clients
Future capability to repair engine parts such as rotors, stators, combustors and engine casings which otherwise have to be replaced with expensive new parts providing substantial cost savings to airlines
Proposed AW Engine MRO services would initially cater to - IAE V2500 series, CFM 56 series, PW 120 &127 turbo prop engines removal and fitment and QEC build up

Requisite Machinery to Fulfill Future Demands Will be Installed
All machinery required for sheet metal work expected to be installed
Use of existing facility of TAAL for machine shop, plating and heat treatment
Machinery will include sheet cutting, bending and rolling machines
Hangar would have bridge cranes to facilitate removal of doors, control surfaces, vertical and horizontal stabilizers
Facility would also have boom lifts and scissor lifts to reach any point for maintenance
All types of NDT testing facility, degreasing plants and ultrasonic cleaning facility would be installed
Autoclaves
Auto clave to facilitate repairs of C ducts
Furnaces
Currently TAAL is having a facility for heat treatment capable of treating aluminum alloys to support sheet metal and structural fabrication
Automated Test Equipments
All field testers and equipments to support heavy maintenance as per manufacture's requirement would be made available for each type of aircraft under the MRO approval
Calibration facilities
Limited calibration facilities for pressure gauges and torque wrenches would be set up by early 2009
Corrosion Treatment
All requirements of anti corrosion treatment as per manufactures CPCP programmes would be available
